Joe is president and CEO of Africa, South Asia and the Middle East for Power Services, one of the largest industrial businesses for GE and a part of GE Power. Power Services offers customers total plant capabilities, expanded local resources and expertise, and stronger collaboration opportunities to help them be more successful.
In this role, Joe is responsible for driving regional growth and execution. He oversees all operational functions in the region covering parts, field services, upgrades and project management, on-site repairs and training. He is responsible for developing and delivering a regional services strategy that offers customers the technology, knowledge and insight they need to manage the entire lifecycle of their power plants, ultimately providing reliable power to people around the world.
Joe’s GE career began in 1997 and subsequently held several leadership roles, including general manager for Power Generation Sales in the Middle East and Africa. In 2007, he was appointed the region executive and general manager for GE Energy in the Middle East, where his responsibilities included driving results for GE Oil & Gas, Energy Management and Power & Water.
In July 2010, Joe was appointed a vice president and company officer of the General Electric Company. He was appointed to GE’s Power Generation Services business in 2012 as the Vice President of Global Sales & Commercial Operations. In 2015, Joe was named vice president, commercial for Power Services where he was responsible for delivering sales growth across Power Services’ portfolio of product lines and commercial offerings, as well as driving sales penetration with customers. He was named president and CEO of GE’s Power Services business in the Middle East and Africa in July 2016 and took on his current expanded role in December 2017.
Joe holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Syracuse University in New York, USA. He is married with three children and is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
